Zomg. @ @ took so long.
So I started this back in September, after realizing that I didn't have any art of my RP chara, Talon, without her suit on. At first I was going to do it just as a normal character sheet - full body colored pencil + pen, an eye detail, maybe color guidance, and that would be that. But as I was listening to her theme, I got this huge rush of inspiration and decided to do it as a scene, illustration; to help show her characterization, which started out fairly simply as just red light from the left and blue from the left... and I just kept adding stuff... and more stuff... and more detail... and more... This is the result. The midground and background still bug me a bit but I am so done. 60-80 hours? Maybe? Sketched and inked on paper; colored, shaded, textured, and backgrounded in GIMP. Enjoy. |
